One of the highlights of the 2018 festival was our ‘Viking Voyage’ project with Frederick Holmes School (Freddie’s) in Hull.  Freddie’s is an all age community special school for pupils with severe physical disabilities and those with profound and multiple needs.

BBC Look North visited the school to see our education team working with pupils and staff at the school. The TV coverage of the project was broadcast on Friday 6th April 2018, the day before the final performance of Viking Voyage in the festival.  That performance – the world premiere of David Buckley’s piece written especially for the project – attracted a very large audience.
