London here we come!
。°🚂༄。° Our 10th birthday tour begins in a fortnight: on 8th & 10th September, New Paths Collective appears at London’s Bechstein Hall.
Join us at either or both of these rush-hour concerts to experience the magic of New Paths – on Wigmore Street in Marylebone! The series brings together exceptional artists who have appeared at our festivals in Beverley over the years:
Harriet Burns (soprano)
Leo Popplewell (cello)
Marta Fontanals-Simmons (mezzo-soprano)
Jane Atkins (viola)
Curated by New Paths’ Artistic Director, pianist Libby Burgess, each concert pairs a song cycle by Benjamin Britten with a major instrumental sonata. On 8th September, we hear Sir James MacMillan’s haunting Cello Sonata No.1 and On This Island; and on 10th September, Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata and A Charm of Lullabies.

Did you know that a ‘charm’ is the collective noun for goldfinches?
